Review: It starts off through lush forest for a while. We then reached Cloud Cap, a campground where some people drive to and start their hike. It opens up to burnt forest and wildflowers. There was an amazing view of Mount Hood until the end. Then it got crazy. Like uphill the rest of the way with no breaks. We had to count 100 steps just to keep us sane (mostly for Nick). It felt like we were on the moon near the end of the hike because it was so rocky and foggy. The views at the top were breathtaking. It was windy, so bring Patty. The drive was long. The hike was hard. But it was worth every cramp that both of us definitely got.
