Review: It starts off through lush forest for a while. We then reached Cloud Cap, a campground where some people drive to and start their hike. It opens up to burnt forest and wildflowers. There was an amazing view of Mount Hood until the end. Then it got crazy. Like uphill the rest of the way with no breaks. We had to count 100 steps just to keep us sane (mostly for Nick). It felt like we were on the moon near the end of the hike because it was so rocky and foggy. The views at the top were breathtaking. It was windy, so bring Patty. The drive was long. The hike was hard. But it was worth every cramp that both of us definitely got.

Review: Almost this entire hike is along a cliff overlooking the ocean. It’s pretty and fairly built-up at parts. It seems to be a popular trail that attracts all types of hikers since it’s not very hard. The parking was a bit tough, so be prepared to struggle finding a spot at the trailhead. Overall, it’s a solid hike, but we wouldn’t go out of our way to make it there.

Review: First hike in Oregon! We picked the hike because it is close(r) to Hillsboro. The hike was challenging from the very beginning to the very end. It was steep enough that it was a struggle to go back down without falling! The view at the top was really beautiful and overlooked the whole Tillamook State Forest. Definitely a keeper hike, but you have to be ready for a good workout!
